In the 15th century an olive mill was built here
on the shore of the Huéznar river. It was converted into a cork mill in the 20th
century. Now it is a perfect place to stay, with three apartments:
- Olmo: living room with kitchen, bathroom, one bed room on the ground floor
with a double bed and another bed room upstairs with two single beds;
- Aliso: living room with kitchen, bathroom, bed room with two single beds
upstairs;
- Chopo: the same as Aliso.
- Fresno: apartment for six.
All the apartments have a fire place. It is possible to place extra beds. Molino
del Corcho has a big terrace and a beautiful wild garden along the river.
Molino del Corcho is situated at 8 km from the village in an unspoilt natural
environment. Nearby you will have four important walking tracks: Las Laderas (to
Cazalla), along the river to San Nicolás del Puerto, a so-called "cañada real"
to the Fabrica del Pedroso and one to Constantina and the old mines of Cerro de Hierro. In summer a dip in the river is delicious.
The Molino can also be reached by train from Seville: the Cazalla/Constantina
train station is at 500 meters.
Molino del Corcho has a solar energy system and two separate water systems: one
with pure water from a spring and the other with officially permitted drinking
water (which has to be chlorified).
